About Us

OneAID began as a response to help people in the midst of monumental change. This dedicated community of U.S. foreign assistance professionals, many of whom have experienced sudden career loss and financial impact, needs specialized support and camaraderie.

Since February 2025, OneAID has filled the gap and created a space where passionate future leaders can find community and support while being engaged citizens. We work to help educate Americans about the need for continued, principled U.S. foreign assistance.

Our mission is to sustain and empower the U.S. foreign assistance community. We serve as a connector and information hub to carry forward the knowledge, expertise, and dedication of this community, transcending borders to advance global peace and prosperity.

What We’ve Achieved

In August, OneAID launched our professionally re-done website. Here, we host career transition, wellness, and citizen engagement resources and blog posts for our community.
Our affiliated state groups span 46 U.S. states, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East with over 4,300 members creating their own foreign assistance communities a little closer to home.
We’ve grown our social media presence to over 9,100 followers across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Bluesky, enabling us to instantly share OneAID and partner events and resources with the click of a button. We’re also able to disseminate time-sensitive communications for our community, so that everyone in the U.S. foreign assistance community can stay in the loop. Our total Signal group membership and social media following exceeds 16,100 users.
Through our Instagram, we broadcast live events from the DC-area across the globe, connecting U.S. foreign assistance professionals wherever they're located.
OneAID has hosted community events, like our coffees, happy hours, hikes, and museum visits in the DC Area.
In September 2025, we partnered with the Advisory Neighborhood Commission 1B in Washington, DC to host a Global Community Day at Meridian Hill Park. Thanks to our grassroots fundraising, we provided financial support to pay for a DJ, purchase easels for a photography exhibit on the Faces of Foreign Aid, and more.
We’ve also partnered with organizations like wellfed, the Coaching Collaborative, Aid Transition Alliance, the Partnership for Public Service, and Fed Forward to host webinars on resilience, resume writing, and job searching.
In September-October 2025, we administered the OneAID Ambassadors Mini-Grant Program. It provides financial support for OneAID-affiliated state groups to bolster efforts at the local level across the country. These mini-grants, which are typically about $100, fund member-led programs that aim to connect colleagues and/or educate fellow Americans on the importance of foreign assistance.
- We distributed $620 for five grant activities in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Texas to engage with members of Congress, host community get-togethers, and organize a panel discussion on: “Empowering Future Leaders in International Development and Education.”
In February 2026, we partnered with Grassroots Comedy to host two shows for over 200 people for the "Comedy Show for Foreign Aid Resilience". This was an opportunity to come together as a community and use humor to commemorate an otherwise difficult one year anniversary period.
Established the OneAID Network of partners with over a dozen grassroots groups and established organizations to tackle collective goals
Informed coverage and provided on the record interviews with news outlets such as the MSNOW, NBC, The New York Times, NPR, PBS News Hour, Telemundo, Univision, and the Wall Street Journal.

What Funding Will Support

Continued hosting of our website, which has become a one-stop-shop for the U.S. foreign assistance community.
Future iterations of the OneAID Ambassadors Mini-Grant Program to sustain and empower the foreign assistance community across the United States.
Hosting online and in-person training on emotional and financial wellbeing and career transition.
Creating engaging social events for community to gather and support one another.
Disseminating tools, resources, and events through our website, Signal broadcast channels, and social media.
Connecting grassroots groups, established organizations, and individuals to support our industry and remain poised to inform the future of U.S. foreign assistance.
