As the holiday season approaches, I find myself reflecting on the importance of connection and kindness. Each year, I’m reminded of how so many individuals, especially those in nursing homes, face the holidays with a feeling of loneliness and isolation. This year, I want to do something meaningful and invite you to join me on this heartfelt journey.
Did you know that 60% of nursing home residents do not receive regular visitors? This staggering statistic has deeply touched my heart. Many of these residents are often forgotten. I believe we can change that—together.
This holiday season, I’m participating in Love in Action Project Inc **Operation Save Christmas**, a wonderful initiative dedicated to bringing joy to nursing home residents through personalized Christmas gifts. Each gift box serves as a reminder that they are loved and remembered. The mission is to fill 300 boxes, each filled with 8 carefully chosen items from their wish lists. It’s more than just a gift; it’s a gesture of compassion and a beacon of hope.
I am aiming to raise **$2,000**, which will sponsor 80 boxes for these deserving individuals. Each box costs just **$25**, and with your help, we can bring joy 80 nursing home residents. Imagine the smiles and warmth we can spread.
If you feel moved to help, please donate, perhaps in honor of a loved one or someone who has made a significant impact in your life. Your contribution, will make a difference and bring joy to someone’s Christmas.
Thank you for considering joining me in this heartfelt cause. Together, we can fight against the loneliness that so many face and make this holiday season a little brighter for our nursing home residents.
With love and gratitude,
Tawanda
