As the competitiveness of the housing market increases, economic uncertainty amid the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Homes are aging, hundreds of Central Florida families live in conditions that make them sick or pose safety hazards at alarming rates. As insurance rates and construction costs are rising, the cost of maintaining a safe and healthy home grows increasingly out of reach for many neighborhoods, leaving our neighbors, friends, and community members at risk of displacement, long-term health issues, and loss of homeownership.
