NextGen Detroit

NextGen Detroit is a youth-led civic network of emerging leaders reshaping the future of our city. With more than 800 members across Detroit, we connect young professionals, creatives, organizers, and entrepreneurs to real pathways in policy, philanthropy, and economic mobility. Our mission is simple but urgent: equip the next generation with the skills, resources, and opportunities to lead Detroit forward.

This year, NextGen Detroit helped elevate youth voices in education reform, supported grassroots leaders through micro-grants, paired young people with workforce pipelines like TradesForce, and amplified community-based projects across the city. Our convenings bring Detroiters from every generation together, Boomer to Zoomer, to learn, strategize, and build a future rooted in equity and bold imagination.
