People 4 People Productions 'Smartphone Neighborhood Pop-Up' Workshop

People for People Productions invites the Bed-Stuy community to a free, all-day neighborhood pop-up workshop at Bed‑Stuy Nest (410 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11216).

This immersive community gathering centers youth voice, creative expression, and neighborhood dialogue through art, media, and technology. The day features a powerful Theater of the Oppressed–style street performance dramatizing the impact of gentrification in Bed-Stuy, followed by a meet-and-greet coffee and conversation, community icebreaker games, and shared reflection.

Throughout the day, participants can explore film and media literacy education demos, hands-on smartphone mobile learning workstations, and youth-produced film screenings showcased on P4PP’s mobile media lab. Attendees will also experience a drone piloting demonstration and an interactive Apple Vision Pro spatial storytelling demo presented by Apple–aligned educators, offering a glimpse into emerging creative technologies.

Designed as a welcoming, intergenerational space, this pop-up workshop brings together residents, youth, artists, educators, and neighbors to connect, learn, and imagine the future of Bed-Stuy—through stories rooted in community, equity, and creative power.
