PAWSOME PALS

It takes a village. Our village at the St. Joe Bay Humane Society consists, on average, of 50 dogs and 20 cats each month. We’d love for you to join our village with a monthly donation. The video on our website, www. sjbhumanesociety.org will give you a bit more information about our efforts for the “in need of care” animals of Gulf County. Your monthly donation helps us to budget for expenses throughout the year. Here are some facts:
🐾 Heartworm treatment is $450 per dog. Eighty percent of the dogs we receive have heartworm.
🐾 Basic medical care when entering shelter is $250 for a medium size dog and $280 for a large dog.
🐾 Cat intake is about $200 per cat.
🐾 Spay and neuter is $70 to $100 per animal.
🐾 Monthly food costs for all animals averages $4,500.
