PENNY: A small little peanut, Penny, requires significant surgery to remove multiple mammary tumors. She was discovered abandoned in front of an office building in North Port, likely due to her medical condition. Although the biopsy results were negative, Penny still needs the tumors removed in a delicate surgery. Funds are being raised to support her ongoing treatment.

MAGGIE: Maggie and her puppy were discovered alone in a remote area in Parrish, lying by the roadside. Maggie's rough past was evident - she only had one eye and seemed to have had multiple litters of puppies. While her puppy has found a new home, Maggie was diagnosed with heartworm. After being spayed and receiving all necessary vaccinations, she is now undergoing painful heartworm treatments. Once she completes her treatment, she will be ready to find a loving forever home. Iris, our dedicated medical foster, has been caring for Maggie during this time.

WINNIE: Winnie, a small mixed breed dog, was discovered abandoned by the roadside in rural Parrish, in a state of extreme emaciation and trauma that left her barely able to walk. She was so fearful of human touch that she trembled when our volunteer took her to the Veterinary Medical Center of LWR. After receiving days of intravenous feeding and hydration, Winnie began to show signs of improvement. She remains frightened by dogs barking and loud noises but is slowly adjusting to life in her foster home. Once she has healed both physically and mentally, Winnie will be ready to find a loving and caring forever home.

DOM: Dom, a loving pitbull, struggles with interactions with other dogs but is currently under the care of a foster helping with his training. Once his training is completed, Dom will be ready for his own loving home.

RAMONE: Ramone, a small senior pup, was found as a stray with an owner who never came forward to claim him. He was extremely ill at the time of discovery and has since required numerous visits to the vet. Due to his ongoing health issues, Ramone will need medications and specialized care for the rest of his days. He now resides with his forever foster and has adapted to his new environment. Your assistance is crucial in ensuring that Ramone receives the necessary medications and veterinary care.

FRANKIE: Frankie was first discovered and placed in the Bishop shelter before moving to a foster home. Unfortunately, within a day, Frankie managed to escape and was missing in Bradenton for almost a week. After being located again, he was returned to the shelter and taken in by Lost Pet Services. Frankie is now under the care of a new foster. Tragically, Frankie tested positive for heartworm and is currently undergoing vital treatment to combat the disease.
