Hello Dear Friends! I wanted to reach out and ask you to consider helping raise funds for Safer Birth In Bama. It is an organization dear to my heart because I love their mission. Many of you may know and many may not….that Alabama has one of the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the nation. (Which affects families in rural areas because of healthcare deserts but also impacts minority groups the most). Every year, our state has more and more hospitals shutting down their OB departments. We need to bind together and make sure that women in our state have access to care. Safer Birth in Bama plays a role by trying to bridge the gap between modern medicine and traditional wisdom through education and through supporting hospitals and midwives alike. We need both specialties to work together for outcomes to change in our state. Please take a minute to look up Safer Birth in Bama and see what they do.
