PCGI offers a monthly lecture series in person at the East Bridgewater Public Library on the first Saturday of each month at 11am. We also offer time to talk with your peers about your own genealogical research. These lectures are free to members and $10 for nonmembers. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of genealogical research. Our only income is membership fees and donations. Thank you for your support!

Who are we?

Plymouth County Genealogists, Inc. was founded in 1975 as part of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists; formerly known as the Plymouth County Chapter. The group was created by a dedicated group of people who envisioned a non-profit genealogical society with these three goals in mind:

1) Furthering the advancement of genealogy as both a hobby and a profession
2) Encouragement of sharing accurate documentation
3) Exploration of new avenues of research

After temporarily disbanding, the society was re-established in 1978 and incorporated in 1993, now going by Plymouth County Genealogists, Inc., with the goal of promoting general interest in genealogy while focusing special attention on the family histories and historical subjects relative to the Plymouth County area.
