Pali Academy Guitar

Pali Academy is a small learning community adjacent to the main Palisades Charter High School campus and dedicated to helping students overcome obstacles, recover academic credit, graduate, and receive a diploma. During the palisades Fire January 7, 2025 the entire campus was lost.  All materials, instruments, and classroom space were destroyed in the fire. Guitar is the only class offered as in-person Visual and Performing Arts at that location that provided a safe space for students express themselves. Over 70% of the students at the campus take various forms of public transportation taking up to two or more hours to get to school. My students were motivated to show up to class to create, experience music and foster a love of independence and self-growth with support in the guitar class. Funds from donations will go towards, sheet music, instruments, instrument repair, upgraded technology, copyright fees, guest clinicians, and field trips while we are displaced.
