A Future-Shaping Opportunity for Peconic Community School

As we approach this season of giving and the end of another transformative year at Peconic Community School, we're writing with an opportunity that will shape the future of our school as well as the learning landscape of the North Fork.

Right now, we all need space for community connection more than ever, and PCS is at a pivotal moment in our journey toward such a space here in Cutchogue – it's time to make this property our permanent home. We need your help to raise the $1M needed to complete our lease-to-buy arrangement and purchase the Cutchogue property so we can continue to grow and create “A Campus for Cutchogue.”

This Cutchogue property is much more than a school building. “A Campus for Cutchogue” is a way to reimagine how a campus can serve an entire community as a learning, arts and cultural center for the entire North Fork. With plans for revitalized learning and play spaces, a performing arts center, community art studio, public hiking trails and expanded programming, you can help Peconic Community School become a place where people of all ages can gather to learn, create and connect.

But first, we need to secure the property as our own. With your support, we can raise the $1M needed to take full possession of the Campus for Cutchogue by September 2025. We're inviting you to join us on the ground level of this campaign as we purchase this property: you can sow the seeds that will allow this non-profit community organization to blossom.
Already, because of your support, we've made significant progress toward our vision since moving onto the campus this past January:

We've held multiple events for the community, including a Martin Luther King Day Celebration and March, a Maker Fair and a Harvest Festival that each welcomed over 300 people, and a traveling circus which brought vintage Americana cultural entertainment to over 1,500 people in the community
We doubled the size of our summer program, meeting a much needed demand from the community
We significantly expanded our after school, weekend, and school break programs, and have begun welcoming more and more children from the community at large into our programs
We have forged nature trails and begun the development of innovative outdoor adventure play spaces on the property's expansive open acreage.
We offered more scholarships to new students and families with financial need in the community.

Your gift to Peconic Community School during this giving season will help us continue our progress toward building “A Campus for Cutchogue,” expanding our programming into the community and supporting scholarship opportunities for students with financial need.

Peconic Community School was founded in 2012 with a clear understanding that modern schools need to educate children for an uncertain future, one whose lifestyles and career opportunities are difficult to predict.
