All contributions made through December 31st go directly to scholarship funds for students with financial need and help us to reach our $100,000 fundraising goal.

Thank you, PCS Community! We are just blown away by the outpouring of generosity, support and engagement you have offered to our year-end GIVE 2021 fundraising appeal.

Yesterday alone, you contributed more than 110 gifts, totaling over $37,000toward scholarship opportunities for PCS students with financial need.

And, you weren’t giving alone!

Thanks to PCS students’ GIVEback projects, 50 Give-backpacks filled with winter necessities were delivered to Maureen’s Haven; more than 30 loaves of handmade bread landed on the Thanksgiving tables of neighbors experiencing food insecurity; nearly thirty hand-sewn hats and cards of cheer are heading to a winter gear drive, and 50 guests to our neighboring overnight shelter will enjoy hand-packed brown bag lunches!

We are so grateful to this PCS community of students, families, friends, neighbors, staff and supporters who truly lived the message of Giving Tuesday yesterday — that we all have something to give, and our giving makes all the difference.

Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday2021, and thanks to one special PCS supporter, your gift tomorrow will have an additional impact!

Each of the first 50 gifts made on Giving Tuesday will be matched by an additional $50 gift from our donor!

Keeping joyful, community-minded, progressive education accessible to local families broadens our reach and deepens our impact, and It is because of your generous support that PCS extends tuition assistance to over 25% of our students, so that local children can experience meaningful, hands-on, child-centered learning, regardless of financial constraints.

And, as you may know, participation in GIVE 2021 isn’t just for the grownups. Inspired by #GivingTuesdayKids, Peconic Community School students of all ages are engaged in their own GIVEback projects in service to the wider community. Tune in here for updates throughout the day!

When we set out ten years ago to open this little school with the big mission of making the world a better place, we could only dream of the impact it would have. Today, because of your belief in our mission and your continued support of PCS’s progressive, child-centered, community-minded learning model, we see our dreams realized in each child, family and community touched by Peconic Community School.

PCS at 10 is a place where children are seen, valued and honored for who they are and how they learn, where students, whether they’re three or 13, cultivate the care and courage it takes to create change and make a difference. It is a place where students discover, and carry with them forever, the understanding that learning can (and should!) be joyful.

This is the kind of learning that makes the world a better place, and it is because of you that PCS is able to nurture the compassionate changemakers that our modern world so desperately needs. It is your support that allows us to offer tuition assistance to at least 25% of our community, so that children can attend PCS, regardless of financial need.

This year, PCS has a goal of raising $100,000 by December 31 towards student scholarships.
