About the Payton Harvey Cheer EmpowHer Camp

The Payton Harvey Cheer EmpowHer Camp is an annual youth empowerment and cheerleading event led by EmpowHer Group LLC (in partnership with XtraPoint Solutions), a Detroit-based organization dedicated to increasing educational opportunities, leadership development, and health outcomes for young girls through athletics.

In summer 2024, we hosted our first-ever camp, made possible through a $25,000 grant from the Southeast Michigan Perinatal Quality Improvement Coalition. We welcomed nearly 70 girls from Metro Detroit to participate in a completely free weekend of cheerleading and fun. Every girl received free Nike cheer shoes, meals and snacks, and the opportunity to build confidence and community - all while learning the fundamentals of stunting, tumbling, and teamwork. We also awarded over $2,000 in scholarships and wrapped up the week with a community showcase attended by dozens of families.

This summer, we’re back and ready to grow. And we need your help!
