Mutual Aid

Mutual Aid Assistance for Black & Brown Trans Individuals

Purpose

This mutual aid fund exists to provide direct, life-sustaining support to Black and Brown Trans and gender-diverse individuals facing economic hardship, housing instability, or urgent safety needs. Rooted in collective care and community accountability, this fund recognizes that Trans people, especially Black and Brown Trans people are disproportionately impacted by systemic racism, transphobia, employment discrimination, and housing insecurity.

What the Fund Supports

Mutual aid assistance may be used for immediate and essential needs, including but not limited to:

  • Utility bills (electric, gas, water, internet, phone)

  • Rent or housing-related expenses

  • Relocation support due to safety concerns, eviction, or hostile environments

  • Transportation costs related to relocation or stability

  • Emergency living expenses during periods of transition or crisis

Support is designed to reduce harm, prevent displacement, and help individuals regain stability with dignity.
