Mission Statement for PLAN4SUCCESS
PLAN4SUCCESS is dedicated to empowering underserved high school and college students in the Chicagoland area through comprehensive programs focused on college preparation, career development, and civic engagement. We strive to bridge educational gaps by connecting students with essential resources, skills, and an ecosystem of community support.
Goals for PLAN4SUCCESS Over the Next Year:
- Increase Scholarship Impact:
- Goal: Award scholarships to a higher number of college-bound students (215 Scholarships Awarded since 2016).
- DONATIONS
- Expand Workshop and Conference Reach:
- Goal: Reach a broader audience with workshops and PLAN2LEAD TEEN SUMMIT with life skills, career development, and college preparation for our teen cohort.
- Support Needed: Sponsorship, partnerships with educational institutions, and marketing assistance to promote events.
- Enhance Wrap-Around Services:
- Goal: Strengthen wrap-around services to better support students in overcoming challenges.
- Support Needed: Volunteer mentors, additional resources, and partnerships with organizations offering complementary services. Become a mentor for our PLAN4SUCCESS CONNECT Initiative.
- Promote Civic Engagement:
- Goal: Increase student participation in civic engagement opportunities.
- Support Needed: Community partnerships, volunteers for initiatives, and awareness campaigns to highlight the importance of civic engagement.
- Empower College Advisory Board and Ambassadors:
- Goal: Provide more leadership opportunities for the College Advisory Board and Ambassadors network students. Also, continue the development of our PLAN2THRIVE Mental Health & Wellness initiative.
- Support Needed: Insights from industry experts, networking opportunities, internships, and resources to help students effectively fulfill their roles.
- Expand Teen Advisory Board programs, PLAN2LEAD TEEN SUMMIT, and Community Champion Initiative.
- Goal: Fully develop our city-wide program initiatives to serve the Chicagoland communities.
- Established support from a Parent Advisory Board and communities around the city.
