To uphold the integrity of our legacy, YWCA Quad Cities adopted an intentional approach to creating programs and events that align directly with our mission: eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

YWCA Quad Cities takes pride in presenting the POWER OF THE W, an initiative aimed at empowering women through education on diverse topics and raising awareness about the challenges women and girls encounter in today's society. With a central focus on fostering connections with like-minded individuals, our initiative seeks to shape women's lives and cultivate genuine empowerment, rooted in self-belief.

POWER OF THE W creates an emphasis on how women can live a more impactful life, both personally and professionally, by embracing these 3Cs: conscious presence, connection, and contribution. By embracing these 3cs, women can and will play a more significant role in society and influence their wide community. We all know women are the backbone of families and communities.

For women in the community, YWCA Quad Cities is the only organiztion uniquely delivering services for women, created by women; we empower women by helping them overcome the unique barriers they face. That means overcoming obstacles to truly achieve the health, happiness, and financial securty that leads to confidence, independence, and self-worth, regardless of age, race, and zip code. The same promise is true to all POWER OF THE W members and corporate partners. When women win, we all win. The W is YWCA is more than a letter; it's our whole purpose!

The POWER OF THE W is open to ALL WOMEN – all ages, incomes, ethnicities, religions and points of view! If you are wanting to learn, grow, connect, take control of your life by meeting challenges in different areas, and flourish in a community of acceptance and belonging, then joining the Power of the W is perfect for you!

Structured similar to a chamber membership model, individuals and corporate partners pay an annual fee to be a member of the POWER OF THE W and is NOT a fundraising campaign for YWCA Quad Cities. All revenue raised through annual memberships for both individuals and corporate partners will be used for the sole purpose of providing POWER OF THE W programming.
