Troy was taken from us at 35 years old, the ravages of addiction were too much for him to bear. One night, one overdose and now gone forever from this earth. Even his two little boys, whom he loved so much, were not enough to keep him sober. Opioids and heroin are more powerful than you can imagine. Troy had a great fun-loving personality that was larger than life and his talents are too many to list. We only hope his boys will know that as his legacy to them.

In the end, we could not help Troy even though we did the best we could. He was always grateful to his family for being there for him. Most addicts don’t have anyone. Too many bridges burned. The purpose of The P. Troy Honeycutt Fund is to help others like him. Most addicts who are in recovery have no money, no insurance, no support and it’s difficult to get good and affordable help.
