Project Vision Hawai‘i provides health and human services, targeting communities with access to care issues such as lack of insurance, geographic challenges, cultural barriers, and limited or no income. Our success in serving vulnerable populations comes largely because of two unique strategies: 1) we bring services directly to access-challenged communities; and 2) services are always 100% free of charge to participants.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Project Vision Hawai‘i has recently:
Administered more than 52,000 COVID-19 tests and 120,000 vaccinations to vulnerable populations and service providers
Vision screened public school children throughout Hawai‘i, reaching more than 30,000 students and providing hundreds of free prescription glasses
Enrolled more than 600 residents in applying for food stamps & medicaid
Provided dozens of free cataract surgeries to patients who are underinsured or uninsured
Provided over 5,000 hot, private showers to people experiencing homelessness
Through your contribution, we can continue to expand our preventive health services, community outreach, screenings, and more to vulnerable populations throughout our communities. Mahalo for your support!
