For years, Pauls Valley Animal Welfare has saved lives in a facility that was never designed for the work we do today. With over 1,000 animals each year, our team has stretched space, resources, and compassion to their limits.

But compassion alone can’t fix overcrowding, disease risk, or outdated design.

Why This Matters

Our current shelter forces intake animals, medical care, and adoption spaces to overlap — increasing stress, limiting care, and slowing lifesaving outcomes. Despite this, our staff and volunteers continue to do everything possible for every animal who comes through our doors.

The Vision

This campaign will help build a modern, purpose-built animal welfare center with:

• Separate cat and dog adoption wings
• A welcoming public lobby and education space
• Secure intake, medical, and quarantine areas (no public access)
• Thoughtful design that reduces stress, improves health, and increases adoptions
