At Phoenix Youth Village, this work is not backed by large grants, corporate funding, or major investors. Right now, it is being built through sacrifice, community support, and the determination to create something bigger for our youth.

Our long-term goal is to launch a fully operational food truck and eventually a permanent vendor location where young people can receive hands-on workforce training in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. But building something like this from the ground up is not easy.

Behind the scenes, this program is being sustained while balancing multiple jobs, higher education, parenting, and community work, all at the same time. Funds earned from outside employment are often reinvested directly into operating the Kandy Lady snack shop, purchasing supplies, funding youth activities, and even paying the young people who step up to help.

This is grassroots work in its realest form.

Every meal purchased, every booking, every donation, and every act of support helps create opportunities for youth to learn responsibility, develop confidence, earn income, and feel proud of what they accomplish.

We are not just selling food.
We are building structure, purpose, leadership, and pathways for young people who deserve the chance to succeed.

And we are doing it one event, one meal, and one young life at a time. 💜
