Giving Tuesday (Nov 29) kicks off our year-end fundraising campaign. This campaign and others throughout the year are what power our impactful performance, legacy and educational programming. We have many wonderful initiatives planned for 2023 including our "Wes at 100" programs that will encompass musical and film celebrations, master musical performances and inspiring educational programs.
Your donation and support will go a long way and will allow us to present the top quality programming from throughout the jazz genres. As we emerge from the pandemic and throughout 2022 we have gained considerable momentum and are ready to launch the next phase of enriching the Indianapolis arts and cultural landscape, supporting our world-class Indy jazz eco-system and remembering our incredibly rich jazz legacy.

2022 Highlights
Curated the stages at the Broad Ripple and Penrod Arts Fairs. Connected with local art and music audiences while employing Indy-based musicians at both events (26 bands and over 100 musicians contracted)
Presented "Jazz at the Center" a 3-part summer jazz concert series at the Indianapolis Art Center showcasing the music of Wes Montgomery, From the 317 & "The Blue Side".
Developed "From the 317" an Indianapolis centric recording and performance endeavor seeking to increase the stature of Indianapolis musicians both on the local and national stage. Includes recording, marketing and general PR support for artists and keeps Indianapolis in the conversation of cities that make great music. A great tool for people who need to showcase Indianapolis' great qualities.
Presented Indy Jazz Fest. Now in its 23rd year. The event is a celebration of jazz on an International scale, highlighting jazz' biggest stars, plus new sounds and local hero's.
Presented Naptown Sound, an amazing showcase and cross-section of Indy's locally-based, world-class talent. 25+ of Indy's best performed on a special evening kicking off Indy jazz Fest 2022.
Shows curated by IJF's own, the Indianapolis Jazz Collective. This Indy-based "house band" performed shows honoring jazz luminaries such as John Coltrane's "Love Supreme", plus tributes to Indy's own JJ Johnson, Slide Hampton, Wes Montgomery & Freddie Hubbard and a presentations featuring trumpeter Terell Stafford (Nov 20)
On the education side, IJF funded and produced two major school programs at Arsenal Tech (Freddie Hubbard Fest) and Purdue Polytech (Jazz Day)
