Hundreds of Family Members Fed by 1040Impact.org After Largest Flood in 50 Years

This past month the entire nation has experienced the worst flood since the 1978 flood. Nearly 1,000 have died in the past week, livestock, families and houses swept away and drowned. They need help rebuilding, the need food, clean water and supplies to start over. Our team is on the ground and has surveyed the damage. We are ready to dispatch our team this week to install 2 new water wells and deliver flour, oil and other stable food items to the villagers in the regions we serve but we need your help.

In Pakistan this month, the largest flood in over half a century devastated entire villages—washing away homes, crops, and livelihoods. Families were left with nothing, uncertain where their next meal would come from.

Christianity in Pakistan makes up just 1% of the country’s 220 million people, and for those who follow Christ, persecution isn’t just an occasional challenge—it’s a daily reality. Economic struggles, societal discrimination, and deep-seated prejudices against non-Muslims are simply part of life. Yet, despite all of this, something incredible is happening.

The Gospel isn’t just surviving in Pakistan—it’s thriving. The more Christians are persecuted, the stronger their faith becomes, and the more people come to Christ. What’s happening on the ground right now is nothing short of miraculous. Just a few months ago, our pastors were overseeing 221 house churches across four regions. But in recent months, that number has surged to 321!

Why? Because faith is contagious.

These believers are doing exactly what the early church did in the book of Acts. They’re meeting together, praying together, eating together, and taking care of one another. They’re sharing their faith boldly, witnessing miracles, and seeing their prayers answered. And as they do, the Gospel is spreading like wildfire.

It starts small—just a few people gathering in a home, studying the Word, sharing testimonies, and worshiping. But then something incredible happens. As they see God move—through healings, provision, and transformed lives—more and more people are drawn in. Whole families are coming to Christ. New churches are being planted every week.

This is exactly what happened in the first century. The apostles faced beatings, imprisonment, and threats, yet they never stopped preaching Jesus. And just like then, the same Spirit that empowered them is now moving through Pakistan. Light is breaking into dark places, hope is rising, and salvation is spreading.

But with this rapid growth comes an urgent need. More believers mean more Bibles, more resources, and more support for pastors who risk everything to shepherd their flocks.
