Pa’lante is a youth-led, anti-racist 501(c)3 organization rooted in Holyoke, MA. Launched in 2015 through a multi-year organizing effort by students, families, and educators, Pa’lante was created to confront and transform racially unjust school discipline policies fueling the school-to-prison pipeline. By integrating transformative justice, healing-centered youth engagement, and community organizing, Pa’lante is now recognized both regionally and nationally for cultivating youth leaders who prevent violence, resolve conflict, and lead systems level change. 

A by-youth-for-youth program, Pa’lante centers those most impacted by the school-to-prison pipeline. Our bilingual, culturally affirming team trains, supports, and compensates ~35 youth Peer Leaders (PLs) from Holyoke each year and welcomes 200+ youth to our drop in space, which is open after school Monday through Friday,  and all summer! Peer Leaders host circles, lead social justice campaigns, and access support to heal from trauma, build leadership skills, and drive meaningful change. Learn more at PalanteHolyoke.org.
