Our pal Pam could out-hike, out-party, out-cook, out-FUN all of us! HTLV (symptoms similar to ALS) hit hard out of the blue. It has reached the point where Pam needs 24-hour care at home possibly for the rest of her life, unless miraculously one of the highly experimental programs can turn this around. The costs for home care are approximately $200,000 a year at a minimum. Pam worked as a personal chef and as a retail salesperson and has little to no savings as she has been dealing with this on her own for the last two years.
