PASTRY PICNIC COLUMBUS is a community celebration of baked goods in every imaginable form—homemade, store-bought, or wildly experimental—all are welcome at the table. This event brings together Columbus’ baking community to meet new people, share what we love, and give back in the process. We gather in a local park, united by our passion for pastries and a shared desire to make a difference. More than just a picnic, it’s a joyful tribute to creativity, nostalgia, and the sweet connections baked goods bring to our lives. When we combine what we love with purpose, we create real impact in our community.

This 2-hour event invites guests to bring a cake (homemade or store-bought) to share with neighbors, friends, and fellow sugar enthusiasts. While this event’s theme is all about celebrating cake, future events will explore different culinary creations, each with its own unique flavor and spirit. Everyone who attends is part of this fleeting buffet of buttercream, good company, and the joy of discovering new treats together.

For the love of cake, for the love of people—this is your invitation. Come hungry, curious, and ready to share!

How it works:

Each ticket holder must bring a cake to enter. It can be homemade or store-bought —no judgement!
No cake = no entry. (No refund.)
Your ticket is your donation: proceeds go directly to the Columbus Food Pantry to support local families in need.
Ticket updates: In case of severe weather or unexpected changes, updates will be posted on our Instagram @pastry_picnic_cbus. Be sure to follow us for the latest info!

Cake Guidelines:

Cakes must be at least 6 inches in width.
Please label your cake if it contains common allergens (e.g., nuts, fruits, dairy, or is gluten free, etc.).
One cake per ticket holder is required.
Can I bring more than one cake? Yes! The more, the merrier. Let’s make this a cake party to remember!
We are not responsible for any food allergies or adverse reactions resulting from guest-provided items or miscommunication about ingredients.

What’s included in your ticket:

A pastry box, cake server, wristband, fork, and a bottle of water.

What to bring:

Bring a picnic blanket, sunscreen, sunglasses, drinks, cameras, and wet wipes (because frosting happens). Pack whatever you need to kick back and enjoy!

Site Amenities & Parking:

Onsite Porta Potty: A porta potty is available for guest use during the event.
Public Drinking Fountain: Stay hydrated with access to a nearby public drinking fountain.
Free Parking: Convenient free parking is available near the event location.

Terms & Conditions:

By attending and/or bringing a cake, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all event terms, including those related to personal responsibility, health and safety, food sharing, media consent, and conduct. You also accept that ticket proceeds will be allocated as stated, with 85% donated to the Columbus Food Pantry and 15% used for event costs.
