Petey, the sweet, loving, one-eyed love bug who lives with our amazing Lizzie, Nick and his kitty sister, Athena, needs our help!

Over the weekend, poor Petey broke his femur.

This surgery is going to be a huge and unexpected expense, and Lizzie and Nick have already spent $7,400 ... part of this consists of $1000 just to consult with the surgical team, and they were approved for $4,600 via a Care Credit card. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday the 27th of Sept. They will need $1,800 to pick him up after surgery on Thursday. There have also been about $200 in expenses to get him the things he needs while they wait on surgery such as a crate, pee pads, a soft enclosed pen for recovery, gabapentin, and he will eventually need a pet step.

Lizzie is the type of person who would never really ask for help, and yet I have convinced her that it's okay to do so. She is always doing for everyone, showing up for everyone, making sure all her friends are loved to the best of her ability, and serving her community as the amazing Priestess that she is. Petey, and Athena, mean everything to Lizzie and Nick. Petey has been a loving support for them both, and for Lizzie, for the last 14 years.

As her friends and community, I'm hoping that we can help to ease some of this stress for them and help them take care of Petey's vet bills, in order for them to focus and not worry as much.

She would do this for us.
