Moonlight Musicals is working to instill a love for the arts in generations to come and we are asking for your help. For over 20 years, Moonlight Musicals has brought families together through the joy of live performance — creating family-friendly entertainment, providing musical theatre education, and developing professional opportunities for artists across the South Plains. From our beloved summer shows at the Moonlight Musicals Amphitheater to our growing educational programs, we’ve built a community centered around music, storytelling, and belonging.

But we’re not finished yet. In fact, we’re just getting started.

Looking Ahead: The Next 20 Years

Since 2005, Moonlight Musicals has created unforgettable memories for Lubbock audiences. As we look to the future, our vision is to ensure that outdoor musical theatre remains a cherished part of our region’s cultural landscape for generations to come. We want every child and family to experience the magic of live theatre — regardless of background or circumstance.

That’s why we’re launching Moonlight Impact, a new program that extends our mission beyond the stage and into the heart of our community.

Moonlight Impact: Building a Brighter Community

Lubbock is more than the “Hub City” — it’s home to families who crave connection, creativity, and opportunity. With your support, we can make a positive impact in the lives of our community.

Moonlight Impact will:

• Provide free performances of our Academy and mainstage shows to local nonprofits serving at-risk youth.

• Offer free participation for these groups in select sessions of our popular Summer Camps.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 by January 1, 2026, to launch this exciting new initiative.

Your Investment at Work

Here’s how your contribution will make an immediate impact:

• $8,000 – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: Youth Edition.: License and dedicate a special performance for up to 500 children served by local nonprofits.

• $8,000 – Anastasia: Youth Edition: License and dedicate a second performance for 500 additional children.

• $5,000 – Summer Camps: Add two free camps for at-risk youth in 2026.

• $5,000 – Equipment Upgrades: New lighting, sewing machines, and set pieces to enhance the experience for young performers.

• $4,000 – Contingency Fund: Cover hospitality, supplies, scholarships, and unforeseen needs throughout the year.
