“The Phoenix and Dragon Gathering ~ A Wisdom Retreat with Mayan and Maori Grandmothers”, will be a transformative spiritual journey guided by Mayan Grandmother Flordemayo and Maori Grandmothers Moetu-Taiha and Eila Paul. This unique retreat, set in the mystical landscape of Sedona, Arizona, invites both men and women to delve deeply into self-discovery and spiritual growth, drawing upon the profound wisdom of Mayan and Maori traditions.

The Phoenix and the Dragon, or Feathered Serpent, are powerful symbols in spiritual traditions, representing transformation, rebirth, and enlightenment. In Mayan culture, the Feathered Serpent is a prominent supernatural entity known by various names such as Quetzalcoatl among the Aztecs, Kukulkan among the Yucatec Maya. This deity embodies the union of earth and sky, symbolizing the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. The Phoenix, similarly, rises from its ashes, symbolizing renewal, resilience, and the eternal cycle of transformation.

Your ticket purchases are considered a tax deductible donation! This gathering serves as an essential fundraiser for The Path during its phase of renewal, and The Grandmother’s journey to Peru in December.

Join us for a sacred journey on the red rocks in Sedona Arizona for a day of healing, ceremony and connection with Moetu Taiha & Eila Paul who have come from New Zealand to share their wisdom and special ways of ceremony from their part of the world. June Arballo of Sedona will also share the significance of working with the sacred energies of the Sedona Vortexes. Heather

Dudney Stone, daughter of Flordemayo of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers will also join us and share the significance of this day on the Mayan Calendar.

This will be a 4-hour interactive teaching and ceremonial journey beginning at 7:00am on Friday September 6th ending at 11:00am.

It will be a moderate 10 to 15 minute hike from the parking lot with only a few slightly tricky places with some loose rock. Carpool as much as possible as the small parking lot can get very full.

Friday, September 6th ~ Benefit Dinner & Fireside Sharing

5 pm - 8:30 pm at Thai Spices Natural Thai Kitchen, 2611 W. Hwy 89A, Sedona AZ 86336

We will begin with a community family style dinner from 5pm to 6pm as we enjoy a beautiful and fresh salad served with a mild and tasty Thai dressing on the side, classic Pad Thai with fried tofu and pineapple fried rice with organic chicken. Enjoy a hot tea or iced tea with your dinner. Thai Spices is a gluten free restaurant.

We will directly proceed to the back patio by the Stone House and began our program with Grandmother Flordemayo of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, Moetu Taiha & Eila Paul who have come from New Zealand to share their wisdom and special ways of ceremony from their region of the world.

Additional Details:

• We will be enjoying our dinner inside and on the back patio.

• There will be seating provided by the stone House, no need to bring a chair unless you have a special chair you like to use.

• If you have a wheelchair or walker, please let us know so we can have a place set up for you that is accessible.

• There are no food substitutions

• You’re welcome to order food or drink from the menu at your own expense for the meal and gratuity. The meal only includes the set menu and hot tea or iced tea.

• The price for the whole event may not be split if you do not want to have dinner or choose to order a separate meal on your own.
