Your annual gift enables PiA to:

Support 45 Fellows and 2 summer interns in Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Mongolia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. We aim to expand to 65 Fellows and Interns in 12 countries and regions by 2024, with a long-term goal of reaching 150 by 2031.
Permanently eliminate application and placement fees.
Fully subsidize all costs incurred by Fellows to secure visas.
Provide over $60,000 in travel grants to remove financial barriers to participation.
Respond to emerging economic volatility in host countries by providing supplemental stipend and housing support.
Provide premium-free travel medical insurance to Fellows and membership in International SOS.
Enhance mental health support and Fellow training and preparation.

This year, we've seen a 55% increase in applications and are expanding our recruitment outreach to a broader range of universities and communities across the United States. We are also broadening our fellowship focus areas beyond education and working towards geographic balance across Asia.
