The Founders’ Fence

Hi, I’m Leann — a mom, caregiver, and the founder of Bridges of Hope Farm Foundation.
My son, Brenan, is 24 years old, level 3 autistic, and nonverbal. He is the reason this farm exists.

For years, we’ve searched for a place where Brenan could feel valued, capable, and connected. Traditional day programs don’t work for him. They remind him of school, which was traumatic, and they simply aren’t built for adults with higher-support needs.

And we learned very quickly… our family isn’t alone.

So many families with nonverbal or higher-support autistic children and adults are desperately looking for a place where their loved ones can:

• feel safe

• feel understood

• feel purpose

• and not be rushed, judged, or overwhelmed

That is the heart behind Bridges of Hope Farm Foundation, a sensory-friendly farm in Buckeye, Arizona where autistic adults and children can experience connection through animals, nature, and hands-on activities.

This farm is designed to be a place where:

🐐 Adults like Brenan can care for animals, learn responsibility, and feel proud of their work — even if it’s just for an hour or two a day.
🐇 Families can find support, understanding, and community instead of isolation.
🐓 Children can explore a calming, sensory-rich environment while interacting with animals in a safe, predictable way.

We’ve begun building this dream — caring for animals, preparing enclosures, and improving the land. But to open our gates in October 2025, we need community support.
