Why I support NCTC

My first NCTC experiences were in high school with the High School Play Festival and College Day. The impact that NCTC has on students is clear, but I didn't realize how important NCTC would be in my professional life. 

In my 15 years at Theatre Charlotte, NCTC has been a vital resource. The Producing Gathering is a unique event for theatre professionals from across the state. It provides an opportunity to connect with colleagues, share resources and advice, and participate in workshops and panel discussions with industry experts. The Producing Gathering has been a huge part of my growth as an arts administration professional as well as part of Theatre Charlotte's growth as an organization. 

NCTC also does so much to cultivate future theatre leaders, artists, and fans. 

My daughter, Ally, hasn’t had her first NCTC experience yet since she is only in 5th grade, but I am so excited for whenever she gets to attend her first play festival. I know NCTC will be a part of Ally’s life and that is just another fantastic reason for me to make sure this organization stays strong!
