Right now, families like ours are waking up to the heartbreaking reality of an MPS-1 diagnosis. They’re scared, overwhelmed, and desperate for answers. Many of them will search online and find outdated or terrifying information. Some will sit in hospital rooms, watching their child fight to walk, to breathe, or even to survive.
At the Kennedy Ladd Foundation, we believe no parent should face that journey alone and no child should lose their future to a disease that has a name but still no cure.
This is where you come in.
For the past 9 years, we’ve hosted the Play Fore Kennedy and Lincoln golf tournament not just as a fundraiser, but as a lifeline. It’s one of our biggest event of the year, and every dollar raised helps fund groundbreaking research, support newly diagnosed families, and fight for earlier intervention and better outcomes.
But here’s the hard truth: we’ve also lost children. Kids whose names are now etched into our hearts instead of our check-in lists. Kids who remind us every day why we can’t slow down.
That’s why this year’s 10th annual tournament is more than just a milestone—it’s a mission.
