Plywood is a nonprofit in Atlanta building a global community of Social Impact Leaders.

Our mission is to help make problems go away that negatively impact our culture, the hurting, the poor, and the under-resourced.

Social Impact Leaders use their unique skills and influence to create positive change and make the world better.

We connect, train and immerse Social Impact Leaders with everything they need to do more good, better.

This year, Plywood has supported more than 665 Social Impact Leaders and organizations.

Through Partnerships, we trained 550 leaders and organizations.

Through Scholarships, we supported 111 leaders and nonprofits.

At Plywood Place, 138+ people work and find community every day.

60% of our annual budget comes from revenue-generating programs.

// IMPACT FRAMEWORK

HOW WE DRIVE IMPACT

Leaders we serve address a wide array of needs in our communities and make a positive difference across our city, culture, nation, and world. Their work can be categorized into six unique areas of impact:

Access - Providing access to a product or service to those otherwise excluded, through distribution, introductions, and pricing.

Sustainability - Creating, sharing, and selling goods that positively impact our environment or facilitate organizational or personal health and wellness.

Better For Us - Developing products or services where the consumer is directly made better by its use or consumption.

Profit Sharing - Structuring revenue models that run at a surplus to give portions of the business proceeds to employees, charities, or social causes.

Distribution of Goods - Distributing goods for free to those in need in concert with the commercial sale of similar items (such as “one-to-one” models).

Employment - Creating job opportunities for those often excluded from the market or in need of specialized training.
