Welcome to the 2024 Chappaqua Friends Giving Tree. We are grateful each year when families

contribute to our fundraising campaign through the Giving Tree. It is a special and personal

opportunity for families to support specific aspects of our program by enriching and

strengthening the materials that support the curriculum at our school.

Our 2024 Giving Tree provides families with the opportunity to purchase items handpicked by

our CFNS Teachers and Director which will immediately enrich the classroom experience for the

children. Families may donate in various ways: donating the purchase price of chosen

materials; donating a portion of the purchase price; or simply donating a dollar amount of

your choice towards our fundraising goal.

This year the collective focus of teachers is on open-ended materials for the big room

classroom, which all our classes use. The open-ended materials include art and building items

to extend thinking and playing in an expressive way. Along the way, children will create, and

build inspired by the ornithology, which is visible and elemental in our school, as well as the

theme for the 2024 Fly into Spring fundraiser. In the 4-year old classes, children work in groups

to build using different materials and the building goal is often to create a nest. It is remarkable

how the children imagine nests that they would like to live in! And birds, of course.

continue to build the richest early childhood educational experience for young children and

their families.

It is our goal to reach 100% participation in this essential aspect of our fundraiser and

encourage you to share our 2024 Giving Tree with grandparents, family members, and others

who may wish to support the incredible learning experiences that happen every day at
