Our Story

Prisma Community Care has proudly served Arizona’s 2SLGBTQIA+ neighbors for more than three decades. Every month, over 1,900 Arizonans walk through our doors for affirming primary care, mental health counseling, HIV/STI prevention, and gender-affirming services. We believe that everyone, regardless of insurance status, income level, or identity, deserves access to compassionate, whole-person health care.

While grant funding supports many essential services (like HIV testing), there remain critical gaps our community dollars must fill. That’s why Prisma’s Board of Directors is stepping up with “Pride In Your Health: Board the Rainbow,” a peer-to-peer challenge to raise $10,000 by June 30, 2025. Our goal? To strengthen Prisma’s Client Care Fund, ensuring that no one faces a barrier to the care they need.

Why We’re “Boarding the Rainbow” 🌈

Resilience in Action: In spite of shifting federal funding landscapes, Prisma remains more committed than ever to our mission. Our Board Challenge is a celebration of community strength and proof that when we unite, we can sustain and grow necessary programs, even in uncertain times.
Community-Driven Impact: This is not a “top-down” ask. Each board member (from healthcare professionals to local business leaders) is rallying friends, family, and colleagues to stand alongside the clients who rely on Prisma. We’re “boarding the rainbow” together.
A Beacon of Hope: By raising these funds, we send a powerful message: our 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and those living with or impacted by HIV, are never alone. Prisma will continue delivering life-affirming care for parents seeking reproductive health services, teens needing mental-health support, and trans and non-binary individuals whose hormone-therapy labs depend on us.

How Your Gift Fuels Real Change 💫

Every gift (large or small) ripples outward into real, measurable outcomes. Below are our most-needed impact levels:

$25 / month
• Supports one uninsured patient’s full year of reproductive health care (all 4 annual visits: exam, HPV screening, contraceptive counseling, and follow-up).

$50 / month
• Covers one trans or non-binary patient’s annual hormone-therapy lab costs. Ensuring safe, life-affirming treatment that might otherwise be out of reach.

$100 (one-time gift)
• Funds one of the four yearly reproductive health visits an uninsured patient needs for comprehensive care.

$250 (one-time gift)
• Provides a full wellness exam (labs, vitals, and follow-up) for an uninsured community member, so they start their health journey knowing someone has their back.

$500 (one-time gift)
• Underwrites four mental-health counseling sessions, guaranteeing that someone in crisis can access the support they need to heal and thrive.

$1,000 (one-time gift)
• Pays the annual hormone-therapy lab costs for three trans or non-binary patients, allowing them to continue life-affirming care without financial worry.
