Corrie Loeffler is executive director of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Working for the Bee full-time since 2006, she also served as program manager and editorial director before moving into the executive director role in 2021. While in college, she volunteered as part of the Bee’s college crew, and she volunteered for her regional spelling bee program in California while in high school. She competed in the Scripps National Spelling Bee three times (1994-1996), and has turned her lifelong passion for the organization into a career.
Corrie also serves as co-chair of the Scripps Women’s Network, a company-wide employee resource group that aims to connect women and provide support for personal and career advancement. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Corrie was named to Cincinnati Business Courier’s 40 under 40 in 2021 and is a current member of the Cincinnati Regional Chamber’s Leadership Cincinnati class (Class 48). She spends her free time laughing with her husband and two children, volunteering for Saturday Hoops, and planning soup-centric dinner parties.
