Renee and David Rudolph Fund

The Renee and David Rudolph Fund honors two individuals whose lives exemplified compassion, service, and quiet generosity. Their shared commitment to uplifting others continues through Puente’s programs in the Dominican Republic, which expand access to healthcare, education, and opportunity for families in need. Through this fund, Renee and David’s lifelong belief in repairing the world continues—advancing compassion, equity, and care for those most in need.

David Rudolph

A gifted surgeon known for his precision, compassion, and calm presence in the operating room, Dr. David Rudolph built a career defined by technical excellence and steady leadership. In the final decades of his life, he devoted himself to improving healthcare for underserved communities in the Dominican Republic—a mission he regarded as his true calling. He led teams of medical professionals and volunteers on biannual trips to the mountain town of Constanza, providing essential medical, dental, and vision care to thousands who otherwise lacked access to basic health services. His legacy lives on in the healthier children, families, and communities he helped uplift—and in the many colleagues and students who continue to be inspired by his example.

Renee Rudolph

A lifelong “voice for the voiceless,” Renee Rudolph has dedicated her life to serving others with compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment. For many years, she volunteered with women’s organizations, championing health, education, and empowerment– infusing every act of service with love and grace. As a preschool teacher, she nurtured young minds with patience and warmth, shaping generations through kindness and care. At Temple Sha’aray Shalom, Renee was known as the “secret backbone” of the congregation—making sure every meal was shared, every event ran smoothly, and every member felt seen and valued. Though she has stepped back from public life, Renee’s influence continues in the communities she helped nurture and in the many lives shaped by her generosity and example.
