Our goal for this project is to enhance the support available to survivors of domestic violence (DV) and/or sexual assault (SA) by integrating the Her Well Safe Stay program with our existing mental and emotional healing services. Currently, Her Well Center provides crucial care for the mental and emotional well-being of survivors and their families. With the addition of the Safe Stay program, we will address the physical needs of survivors, offering comprehensive support to ensure their safety and security.
Specific: We aim to provide temporary shelter, transportation, food assistance, and job readiness support to survivors of DV and SA.
Measurable: We plan to support at least 50 survivors and their families with temporary shelter through the Safe Stay program within the first year of this project period. Additionally, we will assist at least 30 clients with transportation to safe locations and court appointments, provide food support to 40 families, and offer job readiness courses to 20 individuals. Giving us a total of 100 survivors and their families with temporary shelter through the Safe Stay program, 60 clients with transportation to safe locations and court appointments, providing food support to 80 families and offering job readiness courses to 40 individuals within this two-year project period. If funded, Her Well intends to serve 280 clients during the grant period.
Achievable: By hiring one dedicated part-time staff member to oversee the Safe Stay program and leveraging our existing partnerships, we are confident in our ability to meet these targets.
Relevant: This project aligns with Her Well’s mission to provide holistic care to survivors of DV and SA, ensuring they have access to the tools needed for success and security.
By offering both the Safe Stay and our current support programs, Her Well clients will receive well-rounded care, empowering them to realize their hopes for a brighter future. We expect to see more survivors gaining confidence, rebuilding their lives, and seizing new opportunities. This holistic approach will significantly contribute to their overall well-being and long-term success.
