Ross Elementary Food Pantry

As the holiday season approaches, we at Ross Elementary School are preparing to celebrate Thanksgiving, a time focused on gratitude and gathering. However, for many of our wonderful students and their families, the upcoming Thanksgiving break brings a significant challenge: food insecurity.

For many children in our school community, meals provided by our school are a vital, reliable source of nutrition throughout the school year. When school closes for the week-long break, those resources vanish, leaving families struggling to fill the gap. This break, meant for rest and joy, often becomes a week of immense stress and hunger for the families who need our support the most.

Funds collected will be used directly by the Ross Elementary Family Foundation board members to purchase the most needed items, fresh produce, or specific culturally appropriate foods to ensure we meet the exact needs of every family we support.

We are accepting non-perishable items and can be dropped off at Ross Elementary 7470 Bagdad Street, San Diego, CA 92111. The school is open M-F from 7:30am-3:30pm. Closed on weekends and school holidays.
