Make Waves for Conservation at the Second West Coast Sea Turtle Symposium!

Please join us this November 6-7th at The Living Coast Discovery Center in Chula Vista, CA for a gathering of sea turtle scientists, educators, and supporters! Immerse yourself in thought-provoking talks, hands-on educational workshops, and insightful poster presentations. Discover the latest advancements in sea turtle research, while learning how these magnificent creatures are connected to our own human communities and culture.

This year's theme, "Community Connections in Conservation," highlights the crucial links between sea turtle populations and coastal communities. By exploring how sea turtles are intricately woven into the fabric of coastal environments and human cultures, this theme encourages collaboration between conservationists, researchers, social scientists, and members of the turtle-loving public. This collaboration will foster more unified and effective approaches to conserving sea turtles while improving the lives of human communities that share sea turtles' myriad coastal habitats. By examining these connections, we can better appreciate the role that both turtles and humans play in maintaining healthy ecosystems.

The West Coast Sea Turtle Symposium is sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), The Living Coast Discovery Center, SoCal Sea Turtles, Inc., the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The combined support of these esteemed organizations underscores both the significance of this event, as well as the collaborative efforts required to conserve sea turtles on the West Coast of the USA, and throughout the world.

By joining these organizations as a West Coast Sea Turtle Symposium sponsor, you will play a vital role in advancing sea turtle conservation and protecting sea turtle populations for future generations. Together, we can forge stronger connections and create a brighter future for our oceans.
