Fireboat Fire Fighter - Restoring Power and Pride Project

This past October 16th marked the first day of a 6-7 month r project to return Fire Fighter to its former glory; operating its pumps and motors in its 1938 style. In the past two years, the museum received grants through the Save America's Treasures Grant Program (National Park Service) for $450,000 to be matched privately by then R.L. David Gardiner foundation for a total project of about $902,000.00.

Right now, we are asking you to help us complete our project; unforeseen repairs coupled with inflationary costs since our grant awards have made us unable to finish our work without an additional $40,000 to be launched and operating as a museum again this spring. If you can help our capital campaign by donating anything you can, and telling others about our ambitious efforts to save this important vessel. Our goal is $40,000 in public donations; and to encourage other corporate or private foundations to match our public donations.

Please  take a look at our  Website (www.americasfireboat.org) or facebook page of the same name, and see why we love our fireboat immensely, and will do anything to bring her back to fighting form. Please donate what you can on this site, share our information with your friends, and follow us as we find our funding and complete the mission - "Saving The Fighter". Thank you
