Many of you know that for almost three years now we have been in the process of repurposing an existing building on the campus of New Life Fellowship Church in Texas City to serve as our “Emergency Shelter and Operations Center”. As we approach the beginning of hurricane season (June 1^st) we are leaning into completing this facility for the sake of those who may be displaced by an impending natural or man-made disaster.

     A critical piece of this repurposing project includes a Commercial Kitchen that will have the capacity to provide 3,000 meals a day. At this point, with time of the essence, we are seeking to crowdfund in order to outfit this kitchen. We are asking people to look over the list below of kitchen items and donate specifically toward the expense of those items through the “Crowdfunding for the 4B DRN Commercial Kitchen” campaign.

     Some of these items are very expensive and so it may take several individuals to cover the cost of a particular item. We would encourage families, small groups, churches and businesses to consider helping us outfit this Commercial Kitchen which will serve the community at large and eventually any emergency shelter residents we have on campus following a disaster.
