Help Us Secure the Future of Masjid Abu Bakr—Only Few Days Remaining! (90% RAISED FROM QARZ-E-HASNA)

"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain]. It grows seven ears, and in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:261)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to secure the property right next to Masjid Abu Bakr for $369,000—but we only have until the end of April to act!

As our Oswego Muslim community grows, owning this property is essential for the future of our masjid. Without it, our plans for growth and development could be lost forever. This is not just a luxury—it is a strategic necessity for the long-term stability and preservation of the masjid, now and for future generations.

"And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged." (Surah Al-Anfal, 8:60)

Why This Property Matters to All of Us?

1. Room for Growth: Our community is growing, and Jummah and Taraweeh prayers already see full parking lots and overflowing spaces. Purchasing this property gives us the room we need for expanded parking, future facilities, and youth spaces—including a play area where children can feel at home near the masjid.

2. Protecting Our Worship: By owning this property, we prevent potential conflicts with neighbors over parking, children playing outdoors, or car lights during late-night prayers. This ensures peace and harmony for the masjid and its surroundings.

3. A Strategic Investment: Real estate prices are only rising. What costs $369,000 today could be double in the next 5–10 years. If we don’t act now, we may lose this property forever.

4. A Legacy for Generations: Buying this property will secure Masjid Abu Bakr’s ability to grow and serve as a spiritual and social hub for future generations, inshaAllah.

Ramadan: The Perfect Time to Give
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "The best charity is that given in Ramadan." (Tirmidhi)

Imagine this ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah:
- Every salah prayed in an expanded masjid space.
- Every child playing safely in the community.
- Every Jummah easefully parked because of new parking spaces.

All these become part of your rewards—in this life and the Hereafter.

"Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." (Sahih al-Bukhari)

This is your chance to earn immense barakah during the most blessed month of the year. Don’t let this opportunity slip away!

Every Dollar Counts—Here’s How We’ll Reach Our Goal

We need $369,000 by the end of April, and we can only achieve this with everyone’s support:

- If 369 people donated $1,000, the property is ours.
- If 3,690 people donated $100, we reach the goal.

No amount is too small! Even $10 or $50 will bring us closer to success.

What Will This Land Be Used For?

Your contribution helps us:
- Expand parking during busy Jummah and Taraweeh nights.
- Create a youth-friendly play area for our children.
- Plan for future facilities to strengthen our growing community.

Don’t forget to share this campaign with friends and family—encourage five others to join you. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” (Sahih Muslim)

Progress Matters—Together, We Can Do This!

We’ll be providing regular updates throughout the campaign in our Masjid Abu Bakr - Oswego WhatsApp group so you can see how close we are to the goal. Let’s make this a community-driven success story, encouraging one another to give more during this blessed Ramadan.

A Final Reminder from Allah’s Messenger ﷺ:

"Charity given in secret, extinguishes the Wrath of Allah, and maintaining ties of kinship increases lifespan." (Sunan al-Tirmidhi)

Donate now and secure your akhira just as you’re helping secure the future of Masjid Abu Bakr.

May Allah accept your contributions and grant you abundant barakah in this world and the next. Ameen!

Let’s make this happen—inshaAllah! JazakAllahu Khairan for your support!

FAQ: Why Are We Fundraising for the Neighboring Property?

1. Why are we fundraising again when we just raised $480,000 for the masjid?

Alhamdulillah, we successfully purchased and remodeled our masjid on cash, but our work is not done. As the Oswego Muslim community continues to grow, we must think ahead. Acquiring the neighboring property is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to secure land that will help protect and expand our masjid for future generations.

2. Why do we need this property now? Why not wait until we actually need it?

There’s no guarantee this land will be available in the future. If we don’t act now, someone else will buy it, and we may never get another chance. Additionally, real estate prices continue to rise—what costs $369,000 today could be double or more in the next 5-10 years. This is an investment in our future at the most affordable cost.

3. Can’t we just expand the masjid if we need more space later?

Expanding the masjid requires land, which is limited. If we don’t secure this property now, we risk being landlocked with no room to grow. Jummah and Taraweeh prayers are already seeing full parking lots—this property ensures we don’t run out of space as our community grows.

4. What will the property be used for?

•  Expanded Parking: Our parking lot is already near capacity. This land will allow us to add parking when needed.
•  Youth & Family Space: The acre of land can be used as an open play area for kids—soccer, sports, or a safe place for them to spend time at the masjid.
•  Community Growth: Long-term, it ensures we have space to expand our facilities for future needs.

5. What if someone else buys the house?

If another buyer purchases the home, we will lose control over who our neighbor is. This could lead to potential conflicts, complaints, or restrictions on masjid activities such as:
•  Kids playing outside after prayer.
•  Car lights and noise during late-night Taraweeh or Isha.
•  Parking overflow issues.
By purchasing this property, we eliminate these risks and ensure the masjid has full control over its surroundings.

6. Is this really a necessity, or just a “nice to have”?

This is not just a luxury—it is a strategic necessity for the long-term stability and growth of the masjid. If we don’t act now, we may regret it when we desperately need the land but have nowhere to expand.

7. How can I contribute?

We need the community’s support now more than ever to secure this property before it’s gone. Every dollar counts—whether big or small. Click the green donate button to make your contribution.

8. Does the zoning for the house and the masjid fall into the same category?

Currently, the house is zoned as residential. However, we have already spoken to the city and zoning department, and they have no objections to granting us the necessary approvals for our intended use—as long as we follow the proper process.

Of course, the city cannot provide anything in writing today because official approvals require architectural drawings, permits, and formal submissions. However, their openness to the idea gives us confidence that with the right planning, we can successfully integrate this property into the masjid’s long-term vision.

This is our opportunity to secure the future of Masjid Abu Bakr for generations to come. Let’s come together once again and make this a reality, inshaAllah!
