We are revitalizing one of St. Petersburg’s most beloved landmarks—the Science Center, and we need your help.

Dormant for decades, the Science Center is now being reborn as a vibrant ecosystem where education, research, creativity and community converge. 

At the heart of this reimagined space is a bold mission: To become the region’s premier hub for artificial intelligence - a resource that helps everyone access the benefits of A.I. so that we as a community are prepared to win the future. 

The techy stuff: 

• Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence: AICOE will be the front door for local citizens, companies, nonprofits, government and organizations to step into a place of comfort with, and mastery of A.I. 

• A.I. Village: Will prepare thousands of students annually for the careers of tomorrow. We'll teach A.I. from many perspectives to engender a comprehensive comfort with A.I., from data to ethics. 

• LaunchAI: A stunning two-story innovation hub featuring the soon-to-be iconic Sky Conference Room,  LaunchAI will nurture the companies of tomorrow and elevate the companies of today to thrive in an AI world. 

• Specialized A.I. Labs & Training: Where deep partnerships will drive cutting-edge technology to solve St Pete problems. 

The other really good stuff: 

• Summer and Day Camps: While our subject matter is updated, what remains the same at the Science Center is the memories and friends that kids will make and keep for the rest of their lives.  

• The Historic Mosaic Trail: At nearly 1/2 acre, the Walk of States mosaic trail is one of the largest artworks in Tampa Bay, and a true piece of local history that locals and tourists alike will cherish. 

• The Secret Garden: A lush, beautiful setting through which the mosaic trail meanders, the Secret Garden is a tranquil setting for walks, relaxing in nature and the occasional special event.                                                                 

• Planetarium: A beloved favorite, the Science Center planetarium will delight stargazers and dance partiers in the new Science Center.

• The Star Garden: An elegant indoor-outdoor event space set in our rooftop garden, under a canopy of stars. 

• The Hybritorium: A state-of-the-art venue that takes hybrid to a whole new level, making the Science Center accessible to all.                         

• Outdoor Education: Throughout sprawling grounds, and up in the trees with partners like Pathfinder Outdoor Education, kids will enjoy nature and learn skills to help them thrive.
