When I lost my son Silas "Sy" River Bennett to cancer in 2008 at just age 29, our family was heartbroken. I knew that Sy would want me to help others, and would have been honored to have this done in his name. Long story short, I thought of those things that  helped  Sy retain his independence & creativity during his illness and figured out how we could support other cancer patients in this way.
