Italy is known for its food, wine and exceptional style, but did you know they are the world leaders in all things honey? In fact, they have elevated honey tasting to a high art equal with wine and olive oil. Join author and Italian trained honey sommelier and recipient of The Wise Woman Award from NOIAW, C. Marina Marchese-DeBenedetto, at her rustic barn in Weston, CT for a tour of her apiary gardens followed by a guided tasting of 5 of Italy's national treasured honeys paired with regional cheeses and wine.
This unique opportunity has limited seating so reserve your place now. At least 15 registrations are needed for the event to go forward. Italian honey, other Red Bee products and copies of Marina's books will be available for purchase with cash or check.
Address will be provided in a welcome/confirmation email as the venue is a private residence. Please dress casually as this is a farm visit. Closed toe shoes, sun hats, sun umbrellas and sunscreen are suggested. After the brief tour of the gardens and apiary, there will be a sit down honey tasting on the second floor of the barn.
