I'm reading in and fundraising for the 2023 READATHON because I love the Tompkins County Public Library and want to do my part to support it to help it be the best it can be.

Words and communication are powerful. Connection is vital. And books are essential in helping humans to live their best lives. Books are essential in helping me to live my best life! I can not imagine my life as a parent without the library. Books fill our home, are a presence through our days and they book end our days.

The amount of books that we read wouldn’t be possible without the library. I love that this is a shared community resource. The library is a place where we exist in and with community. These are vital assets and essential to living a fulfilled life and especially for Sylvia and all the children of the world.

I am raising funds to help buy books, films, books on CD, and other materials so that every person coming to the library wherever they are coming remains informed, entertained, and educated. 100% of the funding for annual purchases comes from private support, like that raised by our READATHON.
