In Rockport-Fulton, we believe in addressing the whole child—because academic success starts with meeting basic needs. Communities in Schools brings proven support directly to our campuses, removing barriers that stand between students and their bright futures.

Communities in Schools (CIS) is more than a program—it's a lifeline. By placing dedicated case managers directly on our campuses, CIS addresses the real barriers that prevent students from showing up ready to learn.

The question CIS asks is simple but powerful: Why? Why can't a student focus in class? Why are they missing school? Then, CIS works tirelessly to remove those obstacles, creating pathways to success for every child.

During the 2024-2025 school year, Communities in Schools has already made a tremendous difference across our four campuses. These numbers represent real students, real families, and real lives changed for the better.

2,855 students served through campus-wide events and individualized support programs.

2,436 Hours of support for mental and behavioral health counseling provided to students in need.

139 Home visits promoting attendance and delivering essential support directly to families.

Communities in Schools serves four campuses in Rockport-Fulton at a cost of approximately $14,000 per month. This investment ensures that case managers are present daily, building relationships with students and removing barriers to their success.

We are seeking funding for six months of support—$84,000—to guarantee that every student has access to the resources they need throughout the school year.
