Since 2016, MAHI International has been working in the Federated States of Micronesia to fight Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) through early detection and treatment.

In Pohnpei, we’ve helped 718 children and youth receive life-saving care—preventing irreversible heart damage and giving them the chance to live healthier, fuller lives.

These aren’t just numbers. They’re children—sons, daughters, students, and future leaders. And this impact was made possible through collaboration and the support of people like you.

Now, we’re bringing that same mission to Chuuk State, where the need is just as urgent—if not greater.

But here’s the challenge: the Federated States of Micronesia is made up of 607 islands, many only accessible by boat. Transportation is not optional—it’s essential. Without it, we simply can’t reach the children who need care the most.

That’s why we’re raising $63,000 to fund boat operations, including fuel, maintenance, and safe transport of medical staff and equipment. This funding ensures our teams can travel from island to island delivering screenings, diagnoses, education, and treatment.

Our boats carry more than people.
