"My oldest child, my daughter Matti, was born missing her left hand. At the time I had so many questions spanning from insurance issues, surgeons, and prosthetics to emotional support and community. I was unfortunately met with silence. There was not one organization that had any resources to help me. That is when I met David and he connected me with The Next Step who helped me tremendously finding doctors and navigating surgeries. This past summer, after meeting a few more families dealing with limb difference and limb loss I reached back out to David and told him that we cannot allow any more families to feel as alone as I did."

The Next Step launched in 2012 as a pilot project providing high-end prosthetic care in the US to Israelis suffering from limb-loss.

In 2016 the project evolved into a non-for-profit organization that was established in Israel to support children and adults suffering from limb-loss; through an array of programs and services that provide social, emotional and financial support, along with advocacy and lobbying for better prosthetic care.

Today, The Next Step continues being the sole voice and power of the amputee and limb-loss community in Israel, servicing over 4,600 of its members, and making sure they never walk alone.
